Coastal Florida

It's been a while since I've blogged -- but life gets in the way. It definitely doesn't indicate a lack of work and creativity. We've purchased a beach house, which has turned into project after project. Tons of painting and progress. But, now that things have calmed down, I am ready to paint again. I've starting working on a new landscape: Coastal Florida. I grew up here and now that I am a home owner, it's time to start filling my space on the beach with art. I've taken many photos while spending time there these past years and they provide wonderful inspiration. I'm using acrylic with less focus on detail, as I usually do. These are the beginning strokes from a photo taken of the oyster banks.
